Envy of all heavy shoes, the New Balance 870 is born with a high metabolism. We've been looking forward to this model's release and we are not disappointed! Out of all of my New Balance shoes, and believe me.. after working here for 10 years I have a ALOT, the new 870 is the lightest weight model I've ever pampered my ten little pigs with. Using ACTEVA® Lite for midsole cushioning as opposed to standard midsole cushioning New Balance reduced the weight of this component by 24%. It just makes sense right? In order to feel "light" on your feet when running, why not make the New Balance running shoes that are on your feet literally lighter.
